Every month I choose a photograph from Flickr to appear here. Hopefully something interesting and informative.
This month’s photo is from me. It’s called “Tulips in the snow” and was taken on our flat roof after it had snowed (again).
The caption on the photo reads, The tulips are wooden ones, but beggars can’t be choosers.”
The phrase “beggars can’t be choosers” means that if someone gives you something you asked for, you should not complain about what you get.
In this case I wanted some spring flowers, but I had to make do with wooden ones.
