One of their discussion topics was called “Bitter Tweet Sympathies”, which is a play on the song title “”Bitter Sweet Symphony”, by the Verve. The topic was to discuss whether it is OK to send condolences via Twitter.
If something is “bitter sweet” it evokes feelings of pleasure and pain.
