First Customer:  That’s what I’m talking about.  The perfect bagel.

Second Customer: Oh here he goes.  The whole bagel spiel again.

First Customer:  Chewy on the outside, soft on the inside, the way a New York Bagel should be.

Second Customer:  Yeah if that’s what you’re gonna do.  So are you gonna eat that thing, or take it out to see a movie?

First Customer:  I’m enjoying it.  This is how I enjoy.  It’s a perfectly natural thing.

Second Customer: It’s not natural!  It’s not natural at all!  Eating is natural – that’s very unnatural.

First Customer:  Not for me.

Second Customer:  [Sigh] I’m telling your mother.

Voiceover:  New York Bakery Company:  The way bagels should be.  Period.

!Note - What is a bagel? A bagel is a bread product, traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeasted wheat dough, roughly hand-sized, which is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked. The result is a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior.
