Teachers in the UK want homework to be abolished for primary school age children.
A motion for the Association of Teachers and Lecturers conference will also seek a Royal Commission to examine why children are unhappy at school.
(I don't need a commission to tell them why. Schools are generally miserable places: You're either too clever, or not clever enough. Too pretty, or not pretty enough. Too outgoing, or too shy.)
