Olympics 2012 - Lottery
The lottery helps to fund sports in the UK, but I've added this advert because it reminds me of my mum, who was told at school that she couldn't run because she was a girl. Unfortunately her daughter (me) never managed to run without looking like a windmill, sorry mum. This advert tells a happier story. Sigh.

Voiceover: In my mind's eye, I am still a young girl. A girl who lived to run. A girl with wings on her heels. Running was all I ever dreamed of.
But way back when, dreams were just that. So, I went to work. I fell in love. I became a mother, and I wondered if whatever was within me, was within her. And today, thanks to National Lottery funding, my daughter lives her dream. She runs, and I run with her.
The National Lottery is the state-franchised national lottery in the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man. It is operated by Camelot Group, to whom the licence was granted in 1994, 2001 and again in 2007. The lottery is regulated by the National Lottery Commission, and was established by the then prime minister John Major in 1994.
Oh and just in case you hadn't heard, the Olympics are being held in London in 2012.
