A selection of headlines from stories in the news. They use English in a way that you might think is intended to confuse but it's al perfectly clear to the native speaker.
The Sun's headline on a story that recovering alcoholic Paul Gascoigne was drinking a yoghurt drink on a TV chat show prompted the headline 'The Yog On The Tyne's All Mine'. A play on the hit record 'Fog on the Tyne'' the footballer had in 1990, substituting "yog" (short for yoghurt) for "fog".
Be warned - this is not one of British pop's greatest moments.
