'Newkie Broon Leaves Toon' is a headline in the Sun newspaper about a story that the producers of Newcastle Brown Ale are to leave Tyneside after 82 years. Brewing of the iconic stout will be transferred to Yorkshire from Dunston, Gatesherad with the loss of 63  jobs. 'Newkie Broon' is a popular nickname for the drink and 'Toon' is English for town in the Geordie dialect in the Newcastle area of the North East of England.
