If you get the chance, take a look at this delightfully whimsical film set in Edwardian England in the early 1900s.
It is an adaptation of a novella written by fantasy author Lord Dunsany which was published in 1936 and is one of those rare films which doesn’t quite fit into any specific genre apart from being funny in a quirky British way.

IN the opening scene of this film, an unseen man in a confession box in a small Irish town tells Father James (the superb Brendan Gleeson) that he was badly abused by a priest when he was a young boy.
He goes on so say that priest was now dead but he has decided to get his revenge by killing a good priest, someone completely innocent like he was and that has has chosen Father James.

SCARLETT Johansson is one of Hollywood’s top female stars with a string of hits, such as Lost In Translation, Girl with a Pearl Earring and Vicky Cristina Barcelona to her name. So it is somewhat of a surprise to see her turn up taking the lead role in this independent, low-budget British offering.
