The Sun has penned a great headline "Drinkers tell wine corkies..." on a story that according to new research, the amount of wine that people in England drink has been underestimated by the equivalent of 12 million bottles - a week. When people are asked how much they drink and when researchers look at how much is bought, there is a huge discrepancy.
A cork is a a bottle stopper used in wine, and "corkies" is a play on "porkies", slang for "lies".
