English In Use - 'Chew Have Been Framed, Pooch'

A selection of headlines from stories in the news. They use English in a way that you might think is intended to confuse but it's all perfectly clear to the native speaker.

'Chew Have Been Framed, Pooch' is a Sun newspaper headline on a story about a Yorkshire terrier pup in Warminster, Wiltshire, which tried to eat a jellybean that fell under the sofa and got his head stuck in the reclining mechanism. He had to rescued by a fire crew.

The headline uses the word 'Chew' instead of 'You' and is a play on the title of the popular TV show 'You Have Been Framed' where people send in video clips of amusing situations. Pooch is another word for dog.
