IT seems that when it comes to making marmalade, the Brits are pretty ace.

The Daily Mail reports that in the World's Original Marmalade Awards, held in Cumbria, five of the seven main awards went to British competitors.

Among the 3,000 entries were marmalade-makers from South Africa, America, Australia, Portugal and Korea.

AN eight year old Siamese cat called Cupcake is back with its owner after spending eight days trapped in a special delivery box of DVDs. The Daily Star reports that Cupcake travelled 260 miles in a parcel from her home in Cornwall to Worthing in West Sussex after somehow getting into a box that her owner, Julie Baggott had mailed.

Julie commented: “I feel terrible about what's happened. I put everything in the box and I sealed it straight away, so I don't know how she managed to get in there. It was a miracle because she was alive, she's managed to survive that awful ordeal.”
