THEY were one of best comedy double acts of all time and now the cross-Atlantic connection between Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy is to be celebrated, reports the Daily Mirror .
The two men grew up 4,000 miles apart, Oliver from Harlem, Georgia in the United States and Laurel in Ulverston, Cumbria in the north of England.
