According to the Daily Express, the cost of chocolate is expected to shoot up before Christmas.
They are quoting an article in The Grocer trade paper which claims that a 100g bar currently costing £1.10 could go up by as much as 21p. The reason is a 70 per cent rise in the past year in the price of cocoa butter.
