Two Brits travel to America with the sole idea of breaking lots of laws and getting away with it. Now we're not talking about serious laws here, rather absurd bylaws such as fishing with a lasso in Tenessee, or whale-hunting in Utah. Richard Smith, a young Cornishman and his side-kick the Hooters obsessed Bateman, travel from San Francisco to New York and end up breaking 25 of the thousands of completely stupid and outdated, yet unrepealed, laws on a convoluted and eventful journey.
I did a reading from this book at the English club and everyone laughed so much. Honest!
