According to Oxfam £1.2bn will be wasted this year on 87.6 million unwanted Christmas gifts. This spoof advert is hoping that people will buy more useful presents for people in real need.

Synopsis

Voice over: Every year millions of people suffer from the - horror of faintly disappointing Christmas gifts.
Man holding a colander: Why?
Helen Mirren: It's ever so sad.
Will Young: You can see that my eyes have gone all weepy and that. Look.
Rob Brydon holds a squeaking, wriggling toy piggy, and Helen Mirren appears again shaking her head.
Helena Bonham Carter (holding a talking rubber fish): It doesn't have to be this way.
Voice over: Visit oxfamunwrapped.com, and choose one of many unusual gifts; like tools for farmers, fertilizer - the gift of dung, or even a loo for a community in poverty.
Rob Brydon: Give a loo to the world.
Helena Bonham Carter then appears holding her fish and laughs.
