Dear Lonuca,
I am not with you here.
I think blogging can actually help your career: you put yourself out in the world as someone who is interesting and engaging — just the type of person everyone wants to meet and start conversation with.
Also blogging is a great training: to really get attention for your blog you need at least a few months to get rolling and to know your topic well.
Plus, blogging can give you a way to have a new conversation with potential clients about other work.
So I wouldn't consider blogging as unproductive time.

Brilliantly hilarious! I hope you don't mind if I copy/paste this to email to my wife's office mail. Her email doesn't allow links external pages (such as this article). But she HAS to read this and bust a gut laughing. I'll make sure credit goes where credit is due.
I'll await your reply before I do so. I despise plagiarism. =)
Hi, These things are sent to me, but you will find them all over the internet (I only put them here so that my students can find them). Feel free to share. 🙂
