Junk! This isn’t a rubbish blog, the word junk has many different meanings (see below).  The blog follows the adventures of two eco-mariners, who are sailing a raft built of junk to help call attention to a major oceanic environmental problem – the accumulation of plastic rubbish in our seas and oceans.

Junk (n) – things that are considered to be of no use or value, or of low quality.

Junk (v) – to get rid of something because it is of no use or value.

Junk (n) – a dangerous drug, especially heroin

Junk (n) – a Chinese ship with a flat bottom and square sails.
