You know it's Christmas when certain ads appear on TV. It just really came home to me how close Christmas is, when I saw the annual Bobble Off advert. Now if you come for a sensible country you'll be asking yourself, what on earth does Bobble Off mean. And no it's not something you say to a drunk walking along the road.
Basically it's a shaver for clothes. It removes the bobbles that appear on jumpers and other cloth over a period of time. But let's face it, you'd never buy one for yourself, no matter how many adjectives they put in front of the trade name (this year it's "amazing") and that's why they market them over Christmas. The present for the person who hasn't got a clue what else to buy.
Along with musical socks, electric toothbrushes, executive desk toys, and nasal hair trimmers. This is one present I won't be adding to my Santa list.
I listened to a chap this morning on the radio talking about 'slow technology'.
I guess you can't do that very quickly!
