Stress Relief

Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological tests.

The funny thing is that it works.

1. Picture yourself near a stream in the mountains.

2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.

3. No one knows your secret place.

4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called the world.

5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

6. The water is crystal clear.

7. You can easily make out the face of the person you are holding under the water.

See. You're smiling already.

  1. this freaked me out.... i saw a really scary face. well it's 6am and I have studied all night, maybe that's why...

  2. That actually just creeped me out a lot. I was all relaxed and then I read something about a face under the water and I was like "ahhh a face!!!" It was more like a scarey movie for me

  3. i read the first line and thought what the hell, give it a shot and i kept on going. i began to visualise a lovely place so i kept on reading and at the end... i laughed my ass off!

  5. I do like this one! I use it often. The other one I use (for computer related problems) is to imagine I'm standing on the top of a tall building, then drop the computer that is giving me grief off the edge. In slow motion, I watch it tumble end over end until, finally, it hits the ground and shatters into a million pieces, a bit like a firework going off. *sigh* I always feel so much better after that!

  7. Ahhh...yes...it's the face of my now ex-boyfriend who broke up with me yesterday...Valentine's Day...I feel much more peaceful now.

  9. Laughter always relieves a part of stress, and the steps above were quite funny...BUT if someone is severe stressed, worried or tensed, they might not work...
    But I liked it 🙂

  10. anyone that said it did not work, f*ck you. its because you were caught by a girlfriend or a boyfriend that you were picturing it on. you have a miserable life. anyone that smiled 🙂 good for you, you know how to enjoy life...some people can learn from you :)) rock on 🙂
