Row row row your boat
This month’s silly rhyme is sung to the tune of the original, slightly kinder to teachers song, Row, row, row your boat.
It goes:-
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
It’s usually sung as a round, where one singer or group starts the song, and then a second singer or group comes in after the first verse or the first line. And then a third singer or group, depending on how many people you’ve got, does the same, and it can go on to infinity. And so here’s the silly version:-
Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream.
Throw your teacher overboard
And listen to her scream.
