English in Use - 'Sitting Britty'

A selection of headlines in a way that you might thinks is intended to confuse but it's all perfectly clear to the native speaker.

The Daily Mirror's headline of 'Sitting Britty' is about a survey for Weighwatchers UK which says that Brits spend 15 hours a day on their backsides! This includes two and half hours in front of the telly and two and half hours at home in front of a computer.

The headline is a play on the saying 'sitting pretty', which means "living in comfort or luxury".
