English in Use - 'Victory Raw'

A selection of headlines from stories in the news. They use English in a way that you might think is intended to confuse but it's all perfectly clear to the native speaker.

'Murray's Victory Raw' is a headline in the Sun on a story about Andy Murray reaching the finals at Wimbledon. The story is that Murray is at the peak of his game because of a strict regime of raw fish and intense training sessions.

It's a play on words, using the word "raw" which means uncooked, instead of "roar" which is a deep, bellowing outburst of sound forced through an open mouth.
