Definitely! I refuse on principle to use the so called 'fast' self service lane. My local Asda (bought by Walmart some years ago) has just put in 4 more of these obnoxious, noisy and souless things. The other day there was one young girl sorting out problems on 9 (one was out of order) tills. Madness! There will be no real people in these places at all soon!

I hate self checkouts. You go to all the trouble of scanning everything and then it refuses your card - for no reason!
It would be funny if they had to employ more people to sort out the problems than they had to to scan the items in the first place.
