"Welcome to Ukraine! I am a state traffic inspector," Ukrainian police officers are learning English in preparation for the Euro 2012 football tournament.
According to the interior ministry, free English lessons are being organised for officers in the four Ukrainian cities expected to host matches: Kiev, Lviv, Donetsk and Kharkiv.
They are learning to say phrases like: "Do you need any help?" and "May I see your driver's license?" and to understand questions like "I'm lost. Can you help me find the hotel?" and "Where is the bad part of the city?"
