English In Use - 'His Royal Dryness'

A selection of headlines from stories in the news. They use English in a way you might think is intended to confuse but it's all perfectly clear to the native speaker.

The English are often said to possess a dry sense of humour and this is evident in The Sun newspaper's headline on a story alleging that Prince Harry has been banned from pubs by army top brass so that he can concentrate on his helicopter training. The headline reads: 'His Royal Dryness', a play on 'His Royal Highness'. Dry as in not drinking. Get it!
