A quick thought for today. So, to the uninitiated: MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course. I didn't make it up, but someone must have, and now it seems to be the acronym of choice, but back to the question: Should registration form a part of a MOOC? Open (adj) Allowing access, passage, or a view through an empty space; not closed or blocked up. In many ways registration is a barrier to entry and so by requiring registration surely you have a MOC. As I said, just a thought. Next thought - Does homework belong in a MOOC? #change11
