English In Use - 'It's Gone From Add to Worse'

Corniest headline of the week must be an offering from The Sun on a story that pupils in England have slumped to their lowest ever rating in maths. The headline reads; 'It's Gone From Add To Worse," and it's a play on the phrase "to go from bad to worse", which means a bad situation gets worse than it already was.  Those clever chaps at The Sun changed 'bad' to 'add' as in mathematics!
