Having just completed (and actually enjoyed the EdcMooc on Coursera) a fellow participant told me about an Open University course on Open Education.
My initial reaction to the course is: How am I going to find an extra 16 hours a week to carry out the required reading / interaction?
16 hours a week = just over 2 hours a day. Doable? No. So, 2 x 8 hour days? Doable? No, not without giving up 2 days of work, or doing it at the weekend and risking a messy divorce (Has anyone ever been divorced for spending too much time online?). So, I'll just have to see if I can cram 16 hours work into 8 hours. That's doable.
So from now on OE = Open Education, and OU = Open University. That should save me a few minutes.
