This strange headline appeared in the Daily Mail, on a story of how a Dutch metro train, that overshot the end of the line, was saved by a sculpture of a whale. Actually the tail of a whale. If the sculpture hadn’t been there, the train would have plummeted 30 feet into a river. The headline plays on the pronunciation of railway, to whale-way.
Incredibly the name of the sculpture is “Saved by the Whale’s Tail”. You couldn’t make it up, could you.
!Note – Some people struggle with the letter “r” and replace it with a “w”, the most famous person is probably Jonathon Ross, who pronounces his own name “Jonathon Woss”.
