The European Football Championship will take place in Germany next summer, in anticipation the British Foreign Office has issued a dire warning. However, the warning is not because of the cars that, from a British perspective, drive on the wrong side of the road, at great speed. Nor because of the expected high temperatures and risk of sunburn, but because of the beer.
They fear (quite rightly) that British football fans could make the mistake of consuming German beer in the quantities they are used to, without realising that German beer has significantly more alcohol per % than British beer. The fear is that British fans will drink themselves from one case of alcohol poisoning to the next.
However, now that they have been warned to drink “responsibly” I am sure everything will be fine.
