Last night I went to see my first 3D film. Maybe that shows my age, but the experience was brilliant! And yet I was amazed how quickly I became used to it and stopped jumping every time something came shooting out towards me!   Anyway, you may gather I went to see Avatar.

Britain’s favourite detective Sherlock Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson return in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of England.  This is a new interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s greatest character by Guy Ritchie, and Robert Downey Jr as Holmes and Jude Law as Watson pull out all the stops.  There are, believe it or not, stunts and special effects galore as Ritchie brings Holmes into the cinematic world of CGI.

Another retelling of Charles Dickens’ classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions, but this one’s in 3D!  OK so that doesn’t come across here, but go to your local iMax and it will blow your socks off!
