A story in The Guardian quoted examples such as a caller who rang police 23 times asking for a lift from Hartlepool to Stockton and a 17-year-old girl whose hoax call about a bomb in Middlesbrough town centre caused chaos as the whole area was evacuated.

WE Brits love our dogs but sometimes we can take it to extreme lengths!

The Daily Mail reported on Diva Dog Day, describing it as 'Britain's biggest dog pampering show.'

According to the Mail, the event saw over 300 'preened mutts donning wacky costumes including police uniforms, tutus, bow ties, tweed suits and superhero outfits gather with their owners at a venue in Essex.'
