YOU have to hand it to our tabloid press, they've really got their finger on the pulse when it comes to what's important in life.
Take The Sun for instance. Britain is still beset with financial crisis, political wheeling and dealing and industrial unrest.
HP sauce is probably the best known brand of brown sauce in the UK. Indeed I read recently that at one stage it cornered over 70% of the retail brown sauce market. It is used as a condiment with hot or cold savoury food and when I was growing up, it was always splattered liberally over Irish stew. So if you pop into most British kitchens you will find a bottle somewhere, but one man has found a new – and criminal- use for the sauce.
MURRAY mania swamped Britain this last week but there were more interesting goings on at Wimbledon than whether Scotsman Andy could become the first UK singles title winner since 1936.
In the end Murray was well beaten but I was more interested in the report that a woman staggered the nation by spending most of Murray's thrilling late night tennis clash with Marcos Baghdatis a week last Saturday KNITTING!
