A coming of age story about a shy teenage boy who is trying to escape from the influence of his domineering mother. His world changes completely when he begins to work for an eccentric retired actress, who teaches him about girls, driving and life. This is a charming family film, but there is some choice language from Julie Walters. You have been warned!
